There is no free stone to raise. A place in the garden — something you can walk up to, switch the light on, stand beside in the rain — is the whole of what we sell, and it is either rented by the year or bought once. Look at the example stone first: it costs nothing to walk around one.
Sold apart, by the term: a candle on its own, a bouquet on its own, or the pair at a friendlier price. A light lasts exactly as long as somebody has paid for it — no plan includes a flame that burns for ever. Every purchase sets one candle or one bouquet (or one of each) at the stone and adds its days on top of whatever is already there, so buying early costs nothing. Keeper or passing visitor, anyone may buy one.

Six candles and six bouquets is as many as one stone holds; past that a purchase only lengthens the light. See it for yourself on the example stone, kept with every candle and bouquet in place.
Nothing is deleted. A lapsed yearly plan leaves the page, the photographs, the words and every message exactly where they are — the stone simply rests, the flame goes out, and the garden hides it until you return. Buy the stone outright and it stays for good.
Leave an address on My stones and we write twice: a week before a candle or a year runs out, and once just after. Nothing else is ever sent, and you can stop it in one click.
